Representatives from the Swedish, Danish and Norwegian NET patient organizations met in Copenhagen on 13–15 March for a productive Nordic NET meeting.

From Netpa in Denmark, chairwoman Ingeline Bonde and deputy chair Lise Munk Plum attended. From CarpaNet in Sweden, chairman Gunnar Dalborg and board member Tomas Pettersson participated. From the Norwegian NET patient organization CarciNor, chairman Roy A. Farstad and CEO Mari Sandvold were present.

The gathering offered valuable and engaging days filled with important discussions. The group exchanged experiences related to board work, membership recruitment, communication, and how best to inform and support NET patients. Norway presented the results of their recent membership survey and the experiences gained from conducting it. All countries shared insights into how they organize their NET Cancer Day, and also talked about new activities and new projects we have introduced at home.

Other topics were SCAN 2025. We discussed how we distributed and encouraged people to participate in the SCAN survey. Many people chose not to respond to the SCAN survey because they did not feel comfortable answering the questions in English.

All the Nordic associations also expressed that it is challenging to share INCA materials because of the language barrier, as not everyone finds it equally easy to read about illness and treatment when English is not their first language.

Deputy chair Lise Munk Plum is also a NET nurse, and she provided an update from the ENETS conference. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to continued Nordic collaboration and planning for next year’s meeting, which will be held in Sweden.
